Click to popup fullsize image We returned to Tianjin (at 330+ km/hr, train takes about 30 min) with Grant. Here we are at an old Soviet aircraft carrier turned into a theme park. Not sure why there's an ear of corn dockside...

Click to popup fullsize image US holidays (like Mem day) means G has school, while AK and I do not have work. Cool. The CDC folks went go-karting. Similar to US, except the carts burn gasoline instead of propane. And the french fries are better. It's still China though - how old do you have be to drive? No particular age requirement, but you must be 1.4m tall to drive if you're local (Chinese). Foreigners only have to be 1.3m tall. Go figure...
