Aug 2012 : And back on the street for first time in years.

Aug 2012 : Head back from MTI Machine and ready to go.
Aug 2012 : This head features some damage to combustion chamber #6 from way back when I spun a crank bearing exiting turn #7 at Road Atlanta. I sanded on this some as well.
Aug 2012 : Intake valve #4 guide boss has a small hairline crack (hard to see in photo) - sharp-eyed MTI Machine guy pointed it out. It may have been there 40 years. Who knows. I'm going to run it as-is.
Jul 2012 : Piston #2 after I sanded the raised metal flat.
Jul 2012 : Piston #2 shows damage from hitting stuck intake valve.
Jul 2012 : I pulled the head - piston #3 shows damage from hitting stuck intake valve.

Jan 2012 : Ack - stuck intake valves. I later learned all about ethanol-contaminated fuel.

Jan 2012 : After sitting for years, I tried to start car - no go. Replaced dead/stuck fuel pump and leaking clutch cylinder. Unstuck various brass in carburetors. I initially mistook starting problem for a melted coil.
